The Elkhorn Mountains of the Blue Mountain Range provide a scenic backdrop for Baker City, Oregon. Arriving with a blanket of snow in late autumn, there appears the shadow of an Indian resting serenely in the bowl of Elkhorn Peak and signaling the arrival of winter. He arrives daily in sunshine from November through February from 11am to 2pm, contributing to the beauty of our valley.
